He made his debut at the age of 18 with his original piano solo album "Mado" (Window). After graduating from the composition department of the National College of Music, he composed the music for the Kakugawa film "Inugami" while still a student, which led him to compose music for a wide range of genres including films, television dramas, commercials, theme parks, stage plays, and musicals. He won the Japan Academy Prize for Outstanding Music for two consecutive years for the films "64 - Part 1" and "The 8-Year Engagement." He also won the same award for "Those Who Were Not Protected," achieving the honor a total of three times. Furthermore, his song "Reality" from the soundtrack of the Netflix film "In Love and Deep Water" won the top prize in the TOPFILM CUES category at the Film Tracks Awards 2023. Beyond his work as a film score composer, he has also provided numerous songs to artists.
