About the Artist After carefully releasing numerous EPs and remixes step by step, Dutch producer Moods finally released his debut album in 2018. This man, who creates sexy sounds that emphasize the body line accompanied by crisp and stylish mixes, has been creating a buzz in the industry as one of the hottest and most promising new stars. Collaborations and remixes with Tom Misch, Chaka Khan, Bondax, and others have further increased his fame, recording 80 million plays on Spotify alone. Influenced by the soulful styles of Pete Rock, J Dilla, and Nujabes, Moods' early works gradually gained attention online, and were further highlighted when numerous tastemakers featured them on their blogs. Later, he caught the eye of Kraak & Smaak, prominent figures in the Dutch dance music scene, and remixed their "Don't Let People," which was included on their 2013 release, "Chrome Waves Remixed." Kraak & Smaak were so impressed with Moods' remix that he became the first artist on their newly founded label, Boogie Angst. His subsequent three EPs and debut album were featured by numerous tastemakers including Majestic Casual, Indie Shuffle, Complex, La Belle Musique, and The SoundYou Need, and received radio airplay. Mistajam, Monki, and Jamz Supernova featured him on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, while KCRW and Sirius XM in North America played him repeatedly. This LP, created with talent from around the world, took two years to produce, with sessions held between tours in a Rotterdam studio and the artist's home in L.A. It blends influences from hip-hop, indie, disco, and neo-soul, focusing on songwriting and arrangement, and achieving exceptional sound quality through outstanding production techniques. The album title, "Zoom Out," is taken from the song of the same name featuring singer Malia. The lyrics, which ignite a spark in the listener's heart, unlock emotional doors and reveal a broader perspective beyond limits. Despite its downtempo, this uplifting track encapsulates all the songs on the album. Other vocal guests on the album include Pip Millett, a rising star in the neo-soul scene, singer-songwriter Sam Wills, and New Zealand-based High Hoops. The album dominated the NACC Chill chart for nine consecutive weeks. After releasing the album, he also participated in the production of works by rapper Logic and Brainfeeder's diva Georgia Anne Muldrow.
