Kevin I., who moved to the West Coast of the United States in the late 1980s and left the music industry, is making a comeback to the music scene this year! He has produced a CD for the first time in 41 years, and has enlisted the help of "the conscience of island AOR," Lance Jyo, to produce it. All the tracks are Lance's compositions, and four of them are selections of songs that Kevin wanted to sing and convey now from Lance's existing repertoire. Furthermore, Kevin contributed lyrics (and additional lyrics) to the only unreleased track, "To Love You Give (To Me)," and the final track, "The Last Goodbye," expressing his heartfelt emotions and appealing to the listener. Robbie Buchanan, a leading figure in the AOR scene, also participates in the backing band. He showcases his instantly recognizable Rhodes piano on the opening track, "My Forever Love." Other tracks feature Lance's favorite musicians, including J?rg Alfter and Dave Watanabe from Hawaii, Ra?l Ferrando from L.A., and Dan Velascas from Mexico, chosen to suit each song. In particular, Lance himself enthusiastically states that "My Forever Love," a remake of "Forever Love" released on "Pacific Rendezvous," is several steps above the original! Additionally, "Shine," which was included on the album "Ens?" by Lance and Jeff Peschette's project LJP, is a contemporary pop-rock track that represents a new direction for Kevin I.
