About the Artist: Danny Kortchmar, one of the West Coast's leading guitarists, delivered a vibrant live performance during his last Japan tour. It's well known that he's supported big names like Carole King, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, and Linda Ronstadt, but behind him, on powerful drums, was always Russ Kunkel. This year, he's scheduled to perform in Japan again in May with The Immediate Family. Russ himself says, "What I play with Danny, Lee, Waddy, and others is pure rock and roll. But this album was about expressing songs in a different light. The only thing they have in common is that we covered some of the same songs. They're completely separate entities." This album is being released on Jimmy Buffett's private label, Mailboat Records, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Nicolette Larson Children's Fund established at UCLA's Children's Hospital. This is no longer available, as many years have passed since its original release.
