Introduction Following in the footsteps of ?lafur Arnalds, this promising pianist has signed with the prestigious Mercury KX label. His minimalist, lyrical, and evocative sound has the potential to make him a master of the post-classical world. Federico Albanese has worked on soundtracks for various films and TV series, and his debut album, "The Houseboat and the Moon," is hailed as one of the most beautiful post-classical albums. He studied piano from a young age, and during his student years, he gained attention for projects influenced by black music, folk, electronic music, and contemporary classical music. He later rediscovered his passion for piano and released solo works. This album is part of the new "Neue Meister" series from the prestigious Berlin label BERLIN CLASSICS. In Japan, he was introduced as a classical piano artist and was therefore unknown to listeners of post-classical music such as Nils Frahm and ?lafur Arnalds. However, in 2020, he signed a major label contract with Mercury KX, the same label as ?lafur, and has suddenly become a rising star. His lyrical melodies and minimalist sound are sure to make him a noteworthy artist in the future. The domestic release will include bonus tracks.
