Chiasmos's first full-length album in 10 years is finally complete! Their 2014 masterpiece, "Chiasmos," reintroduced minimal techno with its orchestral flair and nimble production. From 2020 to 2021, they spent a month at ?lafur's studio in Bali to create new electronic music. They sampled traditional Balinese percussion such as gamelan and incorporated field recordings of natural environments recorded by Janus. Their instrumental music, expressing complex emotions and evocative visuals, draws on ?lafur's experience as a producer, cultivated through his work as a Grammy-nominated composer and renowned soundtracker for film and television. They gradually shift from 4-beat to frenetic broken beats, varying the BPM, and deliberately limiting the sounds rather than adopting new ideas, creating chord progressions and beats that are more memorable for the listener. This track, which shifts from a quiet, whispering atmosphere to an explosive dance beat, is sure to stir the emotions of listeners.
