Product Description
Introduction Mint Julep, the electric shoegaze unit formed by Keith Kenniff (known for his work with Helios/Goldmund) and his wife Hollie Kenniff, has released a new album after approximately four years. Following their previous two albums that created an overwhelming shoegaze/dream pop sound, this album evolves into an electro-pop work that fully embraces electronic sounds. While retaining their outstanding melodic sense and transparent vocals, a new, fast-paced electronic sound has been added. This work fully showcases Keith's talent as a producer, honed through creating commercial jingles for global companies such as iPhone and Apple, as well as film soundtracks. This masterpiece can be said to be the culmination of Keith's refinement in a different direction from Helios and Goldmund. About the Artist A shoegaze pop unit based in Portland, USA, formed by Keith Kenniff, known for Goldmund/Helios, and his wife Hollie Kenniff. After releasing the CD-R "songs about snow" on their own label unseen in 2008, they produced the EP "adorn" in 2011. Also in 2011, immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the duo called upon many artists, including Ryuichi Sakamoto, Peter Broderick, and Alva Noto, to contribute charity songs, producing the compilation "for nihon" and donating 100% of the proceeds. In 2012, they released their debut album "Save Your Season" in Japan, which included remixes by Mogwai and Ulrich Schnauss. In 2016, they released their second album, "Broken Devotion." And now, after a four-year hiatus, they have released a new album, "Stray Fantasy."
