Lotte Kestner is the solo project of female singer-songwriter Anna Lynn Williams, who has long been active as the vocalist of the shoegaze/dream-pop unit Trespassers William. Following the long-selling cover albums "Covers" (2017) and "Covers vol.2" (2020), this is the third release. Originally, when she was making the album "Until" in 2013, she used crowdfunding on Kickstarter, and as a reward for the fans who contributed at that time, she tried covering songs requested by fans. The requested cover songs were released regularly as EPs, and over the next two years, the number of cover songs that were ultimately recorded reached 60. While "Covers" and "Covers vol.2" were selections from archived recordings made at the time, "Covers vol.3" features many newly produced tracks. It covers classics by Radiohead, The Weeknd, Beirut, Cigarettes After Sex, and others, primarily in a folky arrangement centered around acoustic guitar and vocals. The increased use of synthesizers compared to the previous two albums doubles the dreamy and melancholic atmosphere.
