Product Description
A rising star has emerged in the booming slowcore scene. Their popularity has steadily grown through word-of-mouth, and their signature track, "Upside Down," has garnered 2 million streams on Spotify. This highly anticipated work, poised to become a central figure in the 2024 scene, is now available physically. Slowcore emerged in the late 90s and early 2000s. Represented by bands like Low and Red House Painters, it features a restrained sound, yet delivers emotional impact through ethereal effects and gentle guitar melodies. This new work, while inheriting those sounds, reinterprets them with contemporary arrangements and ideas for 2020. Initially unknown upon its 2020 release, it gradually spread through word-of-mouth, growing to the point of touring with Charlie Martin of Hovvdy and DIIV. Now a noteworthy band in the scene, they have signed with Winspear, the label that launched Barrie, Video Age, and Slow Pulp, and are releasing a physical release. This debut album is a collection of songs pieced together over time, a sonic collage of fragmented recordings and incomplete tracks. The domestic CD release includes three bonus tracks: "Tag," "Lucky," and "Thanks."
