Ben Gortmaker is a singer-songwriter/guitarist/multi-instrumentalist from Nashville, America's traditional "Music City." Having released many excellent folky and melodic works, including songs from his melancholic vocal masterpieces "All's Lost, All's Found" and "Bird," which have been featured in past series of the popular compilation "Quiet Corner," he has now turned to his roots in the guitar and recorded guitar solo pieces that he has honed over many years (recorded in 2024). As he himself says, he pursued a recording method that focused on spatial soundscapes, using vintage guitars and amplifiers and analog recording equipment. The 11 tracks begin with monotonous, introspective melodies, then soft light shines through, and gradually change to warm tones.
