Nazareth, formed in Scotland in 1968, released their debut album in 1971. Their name is said to be derived from the lyrics of a song by The Band, known as Bob Dylan's backing band. Their sound differs somewhat from the robust hard rock style they later established, showcasing a diverse musicality that incorporates acoustic instruments.
