Media Reviews and More: This is their second album, released in 1974, the same year as their debut. Jeff Cline and Brian Miller left the band, and Hugh Hopper (bass) and Lawrence Scott (keyboards) of Soft Machine joined. Hopper's creative fuzz bass presence is strong, greatly contributing to the development of a more three-dimensional musicality in the Mahavishnu-esque sound from their previous album. With an intellectual and wild atmosphere reminiscent of Soft Machine from the same period, this is an unusual work that comes closest to the Canterbury scene and is a masterpiece in the history of British jazz-rock.
