Content Introduction This is the solo project of Joel Hoekstra, who reigns as one of the top guitarists in the hard rock world. Having been in high demand in various bands, he has now released his fourth album! Joel Hoekstra was born in December 1970 in Iowa. He played instruments such as piano from a young age, but was inspired by the guitar playing of Angus Young of AC/DC and began his career as a guitarist. He mainly worked as a session musician, releasing three solo albums in the 2000s. Joel gained attention in 2008 when he became the guitarist for NIGHT RANGER. Since then, he has continued as a session musician while also continuing his work with NIGHT RANGER. In 2014, he left NIGHT RANGER and joined WHITESNAKE. He currently reigns as one of the top guitarists in the hard rock world. In parallel with his work with Whitesnake and his session work, Joel has launched his own solo project, Joel Hoekstra's 13. This fourth album features Girish Pradhan (vocals) as the frontman, Vinnie Appice (drums), who has worked with Black Sabbath and Dio, Tony Franklin (bass), known for his work with The Firm and Blue Murder, Derek Sherinian (keyboards) of Dream Theater, and Jeff Scott Soto (backing vocals).
