Vicious Rumors, a San Francisco-born, orthodox power metal band that released a string of masterpieces from the late 1980s to the early 1990s, including "Digital Dictator," "Vicious Rumors," and "Welcome to the Ball," and continues to be active to this day, celebrate their 40th anniversary this year, now present their 14th album. The orthodox power metal style, centered on strength and speed, established with their 2nd album "Digital Dictator" released in 1988, remains unchanged to this day. The songs created by their founder, Jeff Thorpe (G), boast a level of perfection that will appeal to long-time fans as well, maintaining their unchanging charm. In 2023, they performed in Japan for the first time in 16 years, creating a whirlwind of excitement with a Japan-only setlist featuring only their first four albums.
