Content Introduction Destruction, often called one of the "Three Musketeers of German Thrash" alongside Sodom and Kreator, is a heavyweight in the thrash scene. Characterized by a particularly "intense" style within thrash metal, they have consistently delivered an aggressive and energetic sound, and finally they are appearing at MARQUEE AVALON. Although they started their activities in 1982, they have undergone numerous member changes, and after bassist and vocalist Schmier left in 1989, they were unable to find a vocalist, and it was said that they were in a period of stagnation. Ten years later, Schmier made a surprise return, achieving a miraculous comeback! Or so it seemed. In 2021, guitarist Mike Ziflinger, who had supported the band for 38 years, suddenly announced his departure. Destruction was once again in a predicament, but the person who took over Mike's position was Destruction's sound engineer, Martin Furier. Despite facing numerous difficulties, they continued their activities as a four-member band, releasing their 15th album in 2022, and now, incredibly, their 16th album?showcasing the tenacity of German thrash metal!
