Content Introduction TALISMAN was a band formed in the late 1990s by former Yngwie Malmsteen bandmates G?ran Edman (Vocals), Marcel Jacob (Bass), and Mats Olausson (Keyboards). G?ran left the band shortly after its formation, and Jeff Scott Soto joined to continue the activities. The band gained popularity in Japan as a traditional melodic rock band, and their first two albums, "Talisman" and "Genesis," are still highly regarded as their representative works. From the 1990s to the 2000s, they consistently released albums and performed in Japan, but the band ceased activities following the shocking suicide of Marcel in 2009. Since then, the band has remained largely silent, with only occasional live appearances and reissues of past works. In 2019, they suddenly released "Never Die (a song for Marcel)," their first new song in over 10 years, dedicated to Marcel. The proceeds from this song were intended to be donated to suicide prevention organizations. Five years later, in early 2024, they released a new song, "Save Our Love," to commemorate Marcel's 60th birthday. Furthermore, fans still remember their announcement that TALISMAN would be performing live for the first time in a long time at the 2024 Swedish Rock Festival as a tribute to the late Marcel Jacob. This reissue is the band's third album, "Humanimal." Initially, they produced so many songs that they couldn't fit them all onto one CD, so the band considered releasing it as a double album. However, it was ultimately released as Part 1 & 2, separated by a gap. However, a version with a different track order and song selection was released overseas. For this reissue, the album has been redesigned with new artwork, a track order and tracklist that best reflects the band's intentions, and will be released as a single CD with remastered music.
