Product Description
Content Introduction GLASGOW is a four-piece band from Glasgow, Scotland, formed in 1982 during the height of the NWOBHM movement, and named after their hometown. They debuted in 1984 with two singles, "Miles Better" and "Stranded," and released their debut album, "Zero for One," in 1987, during the peak of heavy metal. This is a reissue of that debut album. The album's content reflects the 80s era and the British setting, emphasizing melody, yet avoiding the excessive ornamentation often seen in American bands of the same period. It's a work full of the damp British atmosphere, and later released as a single, it includes a cover of "Secrets in the Dark," a famous song by Chris Thompson of the British band MANFRED MANNS EARTH BAND. The album is highly regarded among fans as a fine work that stands out for its exquisite balance of heaviness and pop. However, after the release of this album, the band disbanded in 1988, leaving behind only two more singles. Furthermore, because the number of copies pressed at the time was not very large, the original album has remained a legendary debut album, and its price has soared in the used market to this day. Although it was officially released in Japan at the time, this album, which has not been reissued in Japan since, is finally being reissued after more than 30 years. In addition, it includes "Will You Be Mine," which was originally released only as a single, as a bonus track. It is a must-have collector's item for fans. [Track Listing] 1. We Will Rock 2.
