Introduction This is the second solo album from Annette Olzon, currently active as the singer of THE DARK ELEMENT and other bands, approximately three years after her previous work. Fans will know that Annette was a member of NIGHTWISH, a leading name in symphonic metal, but her debut solo album "Shine," released after leaving NIGHTWISH, was a complete departure, focusing on her pop and softer side and showcasing her wide range of expressive abilities. After that, she was active in bands such as THE DARK ELEMENT, which she formed with Jani Liimatainen, formerly of SONATA ARCTICA and currently of INSOMNIUM, and ALLEN/OLZON, which she formed with Russell Allen, the singer of SYMPHONY X. Her second solo album "Strong," released in 2021, was a complete departure from the softer style of her previous work, and as the title suggests, it focused on her powerful vocals. For this latest album, she continues her collaboration with renowned songwriter/producer Magnus Karlsson, who also worked on her previous album. Building upon the "Strong" direction of her last album, she adds aggressive elements to the symphonic metal and power metal sound, with her husband, Johan Husgaffwer, providing growls, successfully creating a diverse range of musical styles.
