Content Introduction Revolution Saints, a band centered around Dean Castronovo (Vo, Dr), is a supergroup conceived by Serafino Perugino, president and A&R manager of Frontiers Records, with the aim of utilizing Castronovo's talent as a drummer and his amazing singing voice, which he also showcases in Journey's live performances. The first three Revolution Saints albums, "Revolution Saints," "Light in the Dark," and "Rise," featured Jack Blades (B) of Night Ranger and Doug Aldrich (G) of former Whitesnake, and were produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio. In Japan, each of these albums has built a large fan base, and they generated considerable buzz upon their release. Dean Castronovo, who rejoined Journey in 2021, has regained his energy and inspiration through the production of studio albums and live performances with Journey, and has decided to launch Revolution Saints MK-II. With new members Joel Hoekstra (G), currently active in Whitesnake, and Jeff Pilson (B), who has worked with Dokken and Black Swan, they released their fourth album, "Eagle Flight," in April 2023. This latest album, "Against the Winds," comes approximately a year later. This album, released about a year after their previous work, is based on catchier melodies than "Eagle Flight," which was released this year. Focusing on Dean Castronovo's vocals, Joel Hoekstra's guitar solos and riffs honed in Whitesnake, and Jeff Pilson's bass playing, which forms the backbone of Black Swan, blend together exquisitely to create melodic and passionate songs.
