Product Description
Contents: This is the eighth studio album from Austrian symphonic/progressive metal band SERENITY. Prior to the album's release, they announced the addition of new member Marco Pastorino (TEMPERANCE, FALLEN SANCTUARY), and also released the first single from the new album, "Knight, Death and the Devil/Ritter, Tod und Teufel (Knightfall)." The title of this single is taken from a work by the famous painter Albrecht D?rer, and the music video also reflects this concept. Guest appearances on this album include Roy Khan (formerly of KAMELOT, currently of CONCEPTION), Daniele Mazza (ANCIENT BARDS), and Herbie Lanhans (FIREWIND). What's remarkable about SERENITY's albums is that most of them are based on a single historical background or narrative, and they weave together a meticulously crafted and dramatic development within that concept, using dynamic melodies. This demonstrates not only their high level of songwriting talent but also their literary sensibility. This element sets them apart from other symphonic metal bands and is proof that they have been able to produce high-quality works and gain the support of many fans for a long period of 20 years. Furthermore, as power metal fans will know, frontman Georg Neuhauser has expanded his activities in recent years, including leading the masked band WARKINGS and singing for FALLEN SANCTUARY, a new band he started with Marco Pastorino and others, which takes its name from one of SERENITY's representative works. The experience gained from those activities is put to good use in this latest work, resulting in a superb Serenity world backed by years of experience and skill, and a powerful work that is sure to impress even the most discerning symphonic metal fans.
