Contents: This is the Japanese debut mini-album from Moonlight Sorcery, a three-piece black metal band from Tampere, Finland. The band was formed in Finland in 2018. In January 2022, they released the single "Ice-Veiled Spell," and the following month, in February, they digitally released the EP "Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity" on Bandcamp. Hailing from Finland, the world's leading metal country which has produced bands such as Sonata Arctica, a representative band of the AVALON label, and Children of Bodom, their neoclassical style of fast guitar playing has caught the attention of fans both domestically and internationally, and has become a hot topic among enthusiasts here in Japan. Following the great response, the band signed with Avantgarde Music, based in Milan, Italy, and released the EP "Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity" physically. This time, after extensive negotiations with the label and the band, they have released a Japan-only exclusive compilation album featuring a new song recorded as a bonus track on their EP "Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity." Their musical style is based on melodic death metal centered around ethereal keyboards reminiscent of Finnish bands like Children of Bodom, and they are a new generation metal band that features the fast picking and stylistic beauty of neoclassical metal elements reminiscent of 80s guitar heroes such as Yngwie Malmsteen and Chris Impellitteri.
