Contents: Landfall, originally from Curitiba, Brazil, was formed by drummer Felipe Souza and guitarist Marcelo Gelbuke, who had been playing together since they were around 15 years old. A few years later, bassist Thiago Forbesi joined, and they decided to become a band. During this time, they released three self-produced albums under the name Wild Child, opened for artists such as Glenn Hughes and Mike Vecera, and grew into a talented band that performed concerts throughout Brazil. In 2017, former Auras singer Guy Oliver, who was gaining attention among melodic rock enthusiasts at the time, joined the band, and the band, now known as Landfall, released their first album, "The Turning Point," on Frontiers Records. Oliver is also active as a songwriter, providing songs to several artists on the same label, including Issa. Oliver also said, "I was really happy to be back on Frontiers Records with a new band and new songs. When I first met the members, I was really impressed by how talented musicians they are. I thought we could make some great music together."
