Content Introduction This is a re-recorded album titled "Metal II" by Canadian thrash metal veterans ANNIHILATOR, based on their 2007 album "Metal," featuring a star-studded lineup of guest musicians. The original "Metal" album featured leader Jeff Waters, Dave Padden (who was ANNIHILATOR's vocalist at the time), and Mike Mangini (former ANNIHILATOR member and current DREAM THEATER drummer), along with numerous guest musicians familiar to Japanese audiences, including Alexi Laiho, Jeff Loomis, Michael Amott, Angela Gossow, and Jesper Str?mblatt. However, Jeff had several complaints about "Metal." "I was always disappointed with some aspects of this record. The production, some of the performances, could have been better," he said. And now, after about 15 years, he finally has the chance to do so. On this album, "Metal II," Jeff Waters is back, of course, but the main members include Stu Brock, formerly of ICED EARTH and currently of INTO ETERNITY, on vocals, and Dave Lombardo, formerly of SLAYER, on drums. Although it's a re-recorded album, it's a thrash metal work that proves that a different lineup can bring a different kind of sharpness and power to the original album. The guest musicians who participated on each track from the previous album remain, but the track order is different between "Metal" and "Metal II," and it includes a cover of Van Halen's "Romeo Delight" (replacing "Operation Annihilation" from the previous album), which will also give it a different feel from the previous album. A new version of "Downright Dominate" has already been released as a single, giving a glimpse of this album. This album is dedicated to two guitarists whom Jeff Waters greatly admired, the recently deceased Edward Van Halen and Alexi Laiho, who participated in "Downright Dominate." [Track Listing] 1.
