This is the Japanese debut album from the mysterious melodic rock band "NESTOR," which suddenly appeared from Sweden. Prior to the album's release, two music videos, "On The Run" and "1989," were released around spring 2021. Despite their comical 80s-themed content, the high quality of the music made them a hot topic among melodic rock fans as a mysterious band whose identity remains unknown. In September, they released the single "Tomorrow," showcasing their high potential even before the album's release, demonstrating their ability to write a diverse range of songs. Currently, not much information about the band is known, and they remain shrouded in mystery. However, the band's history is surprisingly long, and it seems they formed in 1989, as indicated by the title of the recently released video. However, they didn't achieve the success they hoped for, and the band disbanded a few years later. After more than 20 years of silence, they reformed a few years ago and released an EP under the name NESTOR FKP. Their music at that time was different from their current style, leaning more towards grunge-influenced rock. Even after releasing their EP, they continued to be positioned as a local band, mainly active in their hometown of Falk?ping, Sweden. However, in order to broaden their scope of activities, they underwent a major image change last year and relaunched as a melodic rock band paying homage to the 80s. The first releases of this new direction were "On The Run," "1989," and "Tomorrow." It turns out that Tobias Gustafsson, the lead vocalist and central figure, is a talented songwriter who has previously worked with Swedish bands such as STRAIGHT FRANK and ITCHYCOO, and in 2009 won a Swedish Grammy Award for his song "Jennie Let Me Love You," which he wrote for the Swedish boy group E.M.D. He also wrote songs for Japanese singer Miz (Mizue Watanabe) for a period of time.
