[Remastered Edition] Ozric Tentacles is an instrumental rock band formed in Somerset, England in 1983. Starting with "Erpsongs" in 1985, they initially released their music on cassette. In 1989, they established their own label, Dovetail Records, and released their official first album, "Pungent Effulgent." Around this time, the band began to gain mainstream popularity, and in 1990 they released their second album, "Erpland," and in 1991 their third album, "Strangeitude." The single "Sploosh!" from their album "Strangeitude" reached number one on the UK Indie chart. Their subsequent 1993 album, "Jurassic Shift," reached number 11 on the UK Albums Chart and number one on the Indie chart. They have continued to release albums consistently since then. To date, they have released over 30 albums and, despite never being signed to a major label, have sold over one million albums worldwide. During this time, they have undergone several member changes, but guitarist Ed Wynne remains the only original member. Ozric Tentacles' musical style is diverse. Strongly influenced by Canterbury scene icons like Steve Hillage and Gong, their sound blends various genres including psychedelic rock, progressive rock, space rock, jazz/fusion, electronic, dub, and world music. In recent years, they have become widely recognized as a band that has had a significant impact on the resurgence of UK music festivals. [TRACKLIST] 01. Og-Ha-Be 02. Shards Of Ice 03.
