Following her debut mini-LP "222" and her 2018 debut album "Old Rockhounds Never Die," Odetta returns with her strongest collection of songs to date. Featuring experimental pop numbers like "Goldilocks," dramatic string tracks like "Dr No.," and radical reworks of the traditional number "Motherless Child," which was first made famous by Odetta herself, "Swansongs" is a frenzied, dreamlike album. Odetta and co-producers Alex Friedman and Wyatt Bertz have mitigated the constraints of their creative process under the unique circumstances of modern isolation by utilizing the digital interface of remote collaboration.
