This is the definitive Chicago blues album featuring blues piano legend Roosevelt Sykes, known as the "Honey Dripper," slide guitar virtuoso Homesick James, and a session featuring Eddie Taylor that was not included on the original album! This work contains sessions conducted by Sykes and his entourage when they visited France for a performance at the Chicago Blues Festival in 1970. Although the title suggests a live performance, it is a studio work recorded at Monestia Studios in Bordeaux. The original LP contained 11 tracks in total: 5 under the name Sykes and 6 under the name Homesick. Later, it was reissued as a CD with 19 tracks, including outtakes and recordings from the same day's sessions under the name Eddie Taylor.
