Product Description
Free jazz icon Cecil Taylor descended upon Luvo, Southern Italy, in 2000! This is a completely unreleased recording capturing his intense solo performance, where he relentlessly pounded on the piano with overwhelming concentration! "Live in Luvo 2000" is a recording of his solo performance at the 8th "Talos Festival" held on September 10, 2000, in Luvo di Puglia, Southern Italy. For 42 minutes without interruption, Cecil Taylor's world unfolds. Not only does he play the piano, but he also incorporates spoken word-like expressions at times, developing his unique Cecil Taylor world, and it is easy to imagine that he captivated the large audience gathered there. Incidentally, this live performance was in two parts, with the first part released as "Live in Luvo 2000" and the second part, a collaboration with an orchestra, released as "The Owner of the River Bank" (both by Enja). This live album is overwhelming, showcasing Taylor's tremendous energy as he approaches 70 years old. [TRACKLIST] 1. Free Improvisation #1
