The first installment, 'Live At Stubb's', captures a live performance at Stubb's in Austin with Kelly Doyle, Robert Ellis, Ruben Moreno, and The Suffers. Khruangbin presents a live album series featuring Nubya Garcia, Men I Trust, Toro y Moi, Kelly Doyle, Robert Ellis, Ruben Moreno, The Suffers, and others. This ambitious year-long project pays tribute to Khruangbin's consistently polished live shows. The LP series will feature live performances by Khruangbin with Kelly Doyle, Ruben Moreno, The Suffers, and Robert Ellis at Stubb's in Austin, Texas; with Nubya Garcia at Radio City in New York; with Men I Trust at RBC Echo Beach in Toronto; and with Toro Y Moi at The Fillmore in Miami. The first LP in the series, Khruangbin & Friends "Live At Stubb's," will be released on May 19, 2023, by Dead Oceans in partnership with Night Time Stories. Subsequent releases will include Khruangbin & Nubya Garcia "Live at Radio City Music Hall" (June 30), Khruangbin & Men I Trust "Live at RBC Echo Beach" (August 11), and Khruangbin & Toro y Moi "Live at the Fillmore Miami" (September 22). "As global restrictions gradually eased and the long-awaited end of lockdowns arrived, it was a truly spiritual experience for us to see isolated people come together through song and dance. Seeing and hearing the audience sing along to the songs we released during the pandemic, and feeling so loved and accepted, was immeasurable. We wanted to find a way to commemorate this journey, so we decided to release a series of live albums, including the artwork and photographs from those shows, to celebrate the artists we collaborated with. It was truly a memorable time," says Khruangbin. Known as a musical wedding around the world, Khruangbin has toured globally many times, performing at almost every major festival in the world, including Glastonbury, Primavera, and Coachella. In 2022, they embarked on their largest tour yet, including legendary performances at the Greek Theatre in LA, Radio City Music Hall in New York, and Alexandra Palace in London. They have also focused on highlighting the diverse repertoire of their tour companions and introducing their favorite musicians. Alongside these groundbreaking touring activities, Khruangbin recently collaborated with Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Toure to create an album honoring Vieux's late father, Ali Farka Toure.
