All works are scheduled to be released on CD in beautiful paper jackets. [The third release is Pepe Maina's official Japanese release!] The third release in the series features Pepe Maina, Italy's proud "singing troubadour". Born in Milan in 1950, Pepe Maina received musical education from a young age, partly because his father was a professional violinist. However, he drastically changed direction when he picked up an electric guitar at the age of 13. Pepe's music is characterized by "playing all instruments himself" and "showing influences from the East." He himself says that he became interested in the essence of Eastern music and instruments after listening to the British band Jade Warrior, but he plays a type of music that is clearly different from that of the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Arab countries, making him a rare sensibility for an Italian. In Japan, he was an unknown, mysterious multi-artist, and only his debut work, "Il Canto Dell'arpa E Del Flauto" (1976), was released. However, he has since independently released 37 works and can be considered a hidden master of the New Age scene. The lineup includes Pepe Maina's legendary second album, "Scherizza," which is being officially released on CD for the first time, as well as the completely unreleased album "The Belgirate Tapes," which was recorded around the same time and had been lying dormant. All works are being released in Japan for the first time. Pepe Maina, Italy's proud "non-singing troubadour," presents his 2010 fantasy work, now available in Japan for the first time!
