Introduction: Artis Records is an Italian label specializing in unique music including progressive rock, jazz-rock, contemporary music, and avant-garde music. It was founded in 1986 by Alfredo Tizocco. Alfredo Tizocco is the leader of Opus Avantra, a leading Italian avant-garde symphonic band, and has also released numerous solo works. In Japan, in addition to all of Opus Avantra's works, the label will release many masterpieces that can be called Italian gems, including solo works by members such as Alfredo Tizocco and Donella del Monaco, and works by related artists. This time, they will release three titles by Toad, a heavy rock band formed in Switzerland. Toad was a power trio consisting of Werner Fr?hlich (bass) and Cosimo Lampis (drums), both from the German psychedelic band Brainticket, and Vic Verjeet (guitar), from Italy who had played in the British band Hawkwind. Their debut album featured a four-piece lineup including Beni J?ger (vocals). What was striking about Toad was that they played orthodox heavy rock in genres different from the bands each member came from, but their musical style is reminiscent of the golden age of Italian rock. Furthermore, the recording by renowned engineer Martin Birch, who produced masterpieces for numerous hard rock bands such as Deep Purple and Rainbow, is outstanding, and the single "Stay!" became a huge hit, reaching number 9 on the charts, making them a very popular band in Switzerland at the time. After a three-year hiatus, Toad's third album was suddenly released only in Italy. In addition to the power trio lineup, they introduced various keyboards such as synthesizers and Mellotron, showing a new direction in this fine work.
