With the idea of ??"releasing mainly works by talented, young musicians who I predict will grow in the future," he traveled to Chicago's AACM and New York's lofts, interacting with independent African-American musicians and recording/producing with them. He released works by musicians who were making waves locally ahead of the rest of the world, and featured excellent musicians who had not had the opportunity to record, making his catalog a valuable asset on a global scale.
