Partners - Midnight Mix (12inch Version)* *Bonus Track However, when I actually dropped the needle on the record, I was surprised to find that it was a much higher quality blue-eyed soul album than I had expected, with an exquisite arrangement of pop and danceable songs and mellow AOR-style tracks. In modern terms, you could call it city pop. The vocals are Bee Gees-esque, making full use of falsetto. The whole album is refreshing and unified, and you can listen to it comfortably all the way through to the end. I think anyone who picks up this album will be pleasantly surprised. What I'm trying to say is that this album reminds us that name value and the quality of a work are not necessarily the same thing.
