[Deluxe Limited Edition] Deluxe Limited Edition (Includes 5 bonus tracks) Maximo Park announced that they will release their new album, "Nature Always Wins," on February 26, 2020. "Nature Always Wins" is a kind of reflection that focuses on the concept of self, the band's identity, and that of humanity as a whole. The album title is based on the nature vs. nurture debate. Here, the question is whether change is possible under the influence of time, perspective, and environment. Or, if we are bound by our genetics, who are we, who do we want to be, and can we control that? Now a refined three-piece, Smith, Lloyd, and English began writing songs in the summer of 2019. They also searched for a fourth member of a different kind: a musician and producer. The perfect fit was Atlanta-based Grammy Award-winning producer Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter), who allowed the band freedom in their playing and production. However, the unexpected consequence was that lockdowns took away that freedom. But the band made full use of technological advancements, resulting in real-time recording sessions between the Newcastle/Liverpool band and Allen in Atlanta across the ocean. Max?mo Park was formed in 2000 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The current members are Paul Smith (vocals), Duncan Lloyd (guitar), and Tom English (drums). They have released six albums to date: 'A Certain Trigger' (2005/UK Albums Chart No. 15), 'Our Earthly Pleasures' (2007/UK Albums Chart No. 2), 'Quicken The Heart' (2009/UK Albums Chart No. 6), 'The National Health' (2012/UK Albums Chart No. 13), 'Too Much Information' (2014/UK Albums Chart No. 7), and 'Risk to Exist' (2017/UK Albums Chart No. 11). 'A Certain Trigger' and 'Our Earthly Pleasures' have both achieved gold status in the UK. 'A Certain Trigger' was also nominated for the Mercury Prize. [TRACKLIST] 1. Partly Of My Making 2.
