Universounds presents DEEP JAZZ REALITY comprehensive catalog reissue, first installment! Detroit in 1970. This reissue covers all the albums of the label founded by saxophonist Wendell Harrison and trombonist Fifil Ranelin, as well as works from their successor labels Wenha and Rebirth, and even works from Idibib, run by Doug Hammond. Many tracks are being released on CD for the first time, and bonus tracks include singles and alternate takes. This is the definitive series. Following Tribe and Wenha, Wendell Harrison founded the label Rebirth. While the Wenha era leaned towards a contemporary sound, as the label name Rebirth (meaning rebirth) suggests, this first release marks a return to jazz. Harrison's signature song, "Where Am I," and Tribe-era track "He's The One We All New" are presented with a fresh new interpretation. Meticulous arrangements, beautiful melodies, and brilliant performances. This masterpiece builds upon everything they've accomplished up to this point, taking them to the next stage. In addition to close friends like Phil Ranelin and Harold McKinney, Leon Thomas also participates. Supervision: Yusuke Ogawa, Commentary: Masashi Hashimoto -rare 33 inc Tracklist 1. Winter 2.
