The first release is 'Belly Dance Disco', an album released in 1979 by Lebanese maestro Ethan al-Munza. Ethan al-Munza was an organist, composer, and arranger who was active from the late 70s to the early 80s. He released a series of works that fused Middle Eastern music with Western music using synthesizers. This is the first work in that series, and it is lined with songs that combine European rhythms with Arabic melodies, which sound fresh to today's ears, or rather, especially now. The third track, "Joy Of Lina," was even sampled in Mos Def's 2009 work "The Embassy," and it has long been a gem that has attracted attention from diggers.
