Contents Introduction A collection of easy listening masterpieces played by Rene Paulo, a leading pianist from Hawaii! "The songs included in this album are all well-known, world-renowned standard songs such as 'Danny Boy,' 'Begin the Beguine,' and 'The Queen of Sheba.' Each song is complete and has a beautiful melody. These are melodies known to everyone. So, instead of destroying or altering them, I thought I would be faithful to the original melodies. I wanted to play the beautiful melodies as honestly as possible." This latest work from Rene Paulo, who turns 88 this year (born June 28, 1930), is a collection of easy listening masterpieces. From 26 songs selected by music journalist Kei Miyamoto, who wanted Rene Paulo to play them, 23 songs were narrowed down and recorded. Ultimately, 18 songs were selected. All of the included songs are easy listening masterpieces that have been loved for a long time. The recording took place on April 14, 15, 16, and 17, 2018, at Rendezvous Recording in Honolulu. The arrangements and piano melodies of this work are unmistakably Ren? Paulo's, sweet and romantic, bringing a blissful moment as pleasant as a Hawaiian breeze. "I'm 88 years old, I'm quite old now. But I still play the piano every day. I'll probably keep playing the piano every day as long as my hands and fingers can move," Ren? Paulo said after finishing the recording.
