Daniel Rossen, who serves as the lead vocalist for the popular Brooklyn band Grizzly Bear, is recognized as one of the greatest singer-songwriters of our time for his talent as an instrumentalist who plays many instruments and his high level of expressiveness as a composer. He releases his first solo album, "You Belong There," on Warp Records. This album, consisting of 10 tracks (5 additional tracks on the Japanese CD version), reintroduces Daniel Rossen's soft and beautiful voice to the world, while also allowing him to discover a greater freedom of expression. It reveals the image of a person exploring the extremely private and unknown territory of becoming an adult, worrying about the problems left unresolved, and finding the possibilities that lie ahead in the future. For nearly 20 years, Daniel Rossen was a key member of Grizzly Bear, bringing beautiful harmonies and a unique texture that reinterpreted the sounds of the early 80s to the band, which shone even in the Brooklyn scene that produced many talented musicians. Currently, Rossen has left Brooklyn and is based in Santa Fe after stints in upstate New York. Known as one of the scene's leading guitarists, Rossen played almost every part of the album himself, including the newly incorporated cello and upright bass, and took his time to complete it. On the track "Tangle," fellow Grizzly Bear member Chris Bear makes a guest appearance. The landscape depicted in "You Belong There" is Daniel Rossen's intuitive and refined reflection on the feelings he gained from touching upon the passion and enthusiasm of his youth and how the world responded to it. The Japanese domestic CD release of this album includes liner notes and lyric translations, and features all tracks from his 2012 debut solo EP "Silent Hour / Golden Mile" as bonus tracks.
