Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various guests, but with this album, he started by passing on his own ideas to his collaborators. This album features guest appearances from Shabaka Hutchings, Haile Supreme, Mara TK, Sabrina Mafouz, Green Tea Penn, O'Shun, and Pip Millet. Seamlessly navigating between sophisticated electronica, smooth jazz, skillful hip-hop, and a unique middle ground symbolizing the essence of N.O.W., the album boasts numerous guests adding unique and dynamic elements. However, this is Evelyn's most personal work to date, a result of adopting a healthier lifestyle that clarified what had been clouded by her long touring life, while simultaneously confronting the fear of cancer. "I remember having a conversation about how I needed to approach this album as if it were my last," Evelyn says. Yet, she clearly understood that dying from cancer was not her destiny. It's not her movie, it's not her story. She still has things to do, a light to shine. That realization led to the personal creation of "Shout Out! To Freedom."
