All shows sold out even before their debut! Singles are now collector's items! The world's greatest new band, Black Country New Road, has finally made their debut! ! ! ! ! Based in London, Black Country New Road is a seven-member band consisting of Isaac Wood (vocals/guitar), Lewis Evans (saxophone), May Kershaw (keyboards), Charlie Wayne (drums), Luke Mark (guitar), Tyler Hyde (bass), and Georgia Ellery (violin). Having sold out every show they've played in the UK, with their two singles becoming collector's items, and receiving offers from major festivals like Primavera and Glastonbury, and even appearing on a French television program alongside two big names, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth and Ed O'Brien of Radiohead, they've garnered significant attention even before their debut. Now, having signed with Ninja Tune, they've finally released their debut album! Centered around The Windmill, a South London venue that's attracting attention from around the world as a new epicenter of indie rock, they've gained a passionate following alongside Black Midi and Squid, and continue their local activities in London, where they're based, collaborating with many artists of their generation. The album features producer Andy Savers, who has worked with My Bloody Valentine, and was recorded live in March of this year. It captures the explosive energy of their initial impulses, while creatively setting it apart from mere rehashes of the past. Influenced by rock, jazz, alternative rock, post-rock, post-punk, post-hardcore, and more, their debut album "For the First Time" embodies their own reality without being confined to any particular genre. It contains 6 tracks totaling 41 minutes, including two re-recorded early premier singles, "Sunglasses" and "Athens, France." The Japanese CD edition includes liner notes and lyric translations, as well as bonus tracks.
