Contents: Featuring J?nsi (Sigur R?s), Mary Latimore, and Nosaj Thing. A miraculous healing that the times have been calling for. The definitive ambient folk album by the talented Juliana Barwick has arrived. Juliana Barwick, the magician of voice ambient and producer/singer-songwriter who has captivated everyone from Radiohead and Sigur R?s to Bon Iver, has released her latest album, "Healing Is A Miracle." As she herself says, "For example, when you cut your hand, even though the wound is painful, after two weeks it looks as if nothing happened... Isn't that amazing?" Inspired by the body's natural healing ability, the album is themed around a production process where everything is done according to her own sensibilities, and includes eight tracks in total, including the lead single "Inspirit," which maintains her unique meditative state while enveloping the listener in a mystical sense of exhilaration. This album also features guest appearances from three artists: J?nsi of Sigur R?s, with whom he has cultivated a close relationship since recording the 2013 album "Nepenthe" in Reykjavik, Iceland; Mary Lattimore, a close friend with whom he successfully performed jointly in Japan; and beatmaker Nosaj Thing, with whom he finally collaborated after moving to LA, his current base of operations. Each collaboration is elevated to an ecstatic level. This fourth album in four years is his first release since moving to Ninja Tune, home to The Cinematic Orchestra, Bonobo, and Floating Points. The Japanese CD version includes lyric translations and liner notes, as well as bonus tracks. In addition to the regular import vinyl edition, a limited edition (2000 sets only) will also be released that includes an art card signed by the artist. About the Artist JULIANNA BARWICK | Julianna Barwick is a composer, vocalist, and producer who grew up in Louisiana in the southern United States, lived in Brooklyn, and is now based in LA. Her background includes choir activities in her childhood, and she arrived at her current style by combining a loop-enabled guitar effects pedal borrowed from a friend with her own vocals. With each album release, her profile has risen, and she has steadily built her career by participating in live performances with The Flaming Lips and Yoko Ono, collaborating with Sigur R?s, Sharon Van Etten, Bon Iver, and providing remixes for Radiohead. In 2019, her joint performances in Japan with her close friend Mary Lattimore were a great success. In July 2020, she will release her long-awaited new album on Ninja Tune, featuring guests such as J?nsi of Sigur R?s.
