The single "linknb," produced by Oscar Scheller, a rising producer who has worked with Pink Pantheres and Lily Allen, and released in conjunction with the album's announcement, is an important track that signals the start of a new chapter for Kelela. Written as a "mantra" to pull herself back into creation during a slump, the song, centered around complex guitar riffs and heavy drums, sings of confidence and self-affirmation that overcomes adversity. The music video was directed by Mischa Notcutt. The visuals, which blend realism and abstract expression, elevate the solitary journey into a story of self-discovery and rebirth. "New Avatar" is a culmination of Kelela's career and musicality.
