Scott Hansen, also known as Tycho, describes the theme of this work as "hope for the future and a requiem for the past." Since starting the project in 2001, Scott Hansen has continued to evolve Tycho's sound in his own unique style. In the process, he has been nominated for a Grammy Award twice and has collaborated with countless artists such as ODESZA, Maggie Rogers, Little Dragon, Leon Bridges, and Death Cab for Cutie. Now, Tycho has entered a new phase, having completed their latest album, *Infinite Health*, following the sister albums *Weather* (2019) and *Simulcast* (2020). Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor also served as co-producer, and Scott says that individuality and conciseness were the goals of the recording process. He explains that the overall concept was to "stay true to our roots while creating the most different sound possible." Sonically, they've returned to an electronic-based style, emphasizing breaks, drums, and rhythmic elements, with melodies added to support them. The lead single, "Phantom," shines brightly, and Scott says it's his favorite track on the album. This upbeat track, with its striking iridescent 80s-inspired visuals, blends Tycho's trademark sound with the neon noir of Italo disco.
