Product Description
Emerging from the same Brixton Windmill (live music venue) scene as Black Midi, Shame, and Goat Girl, the five-piece band Sorry has solidified their position as one of the UK's most creative new bands. Following their critically acclaimed debut album '925', they have released their highly anticipated second album, 'Anywhere But Here', on Domino. The latest work features production by Portishead member Adrian Utley and Charlie Andrew, known for his work with Alt-J, among others. Sharing a passion for lo-fi sounds such as grunge, trap, and shoegaze, they have created their own unique musical world. While their debut album '925' had a more electronic sound, this album pays homage to classic 1970s songwriters such as Carly Simon and Randy Newman. Furthermore, Asha's understated yet sweet vocals provide a well-balanced contrast to the dissonant guitar sounds played by Sorry on this album, reminiscent of early 90s bands like Slint and Tortoise, as well as the irregular beats of Kanye West and Capital Steez. The highly anticipated new album, "Anywhere But Here," includes liner notes and lyric translations in the Japanese CD edition, and also features bonus tracks. TRACK LIST : 01.
