A wonderfully soothing guitar pop sound! Real Estate, a band leading the US indie scene, releases their latest album! Real Estate, a five-piece band from New Jersey that leads the US indie scene with their soothing guitar pop sound that captivates everyone after just one listen, releases their sixth studio album, "Daniel"! Real Estate, consisting of Martin Courtney (vocals/guitar), Alex Bleeker (bass/vocals), Matt Coleman (keyboards), Julian Lynch (guitar), and Sammy Niss (drums), completed 11 new songs for this album, which were recorded over nine days at RCA Studio A in Nashville with Grammy Award-winning producer Daniel Tashian, who has worked with artists such as Kacey Musgraves. The first single, "Water Underground," was released with a music video inspired by the popular 1990s Nickelodeon sitcom "The Adventures of Pete & Pete." Directed by Edmund Hawkins, the video features fellow New Jersey TV star Danny Tamberelli and Michael C. Maronna, who also appeared on the show. Filmed in the suburbs of New Jersey, the video was conceived and produced by Tamberelli, Maronna, and creators Chris Viscardi and Will McLob. The comfortable and artistic songs on "Daniel" shine brilliantly without hesitation, beautifully blending the band's early free-spiritedness with the quality they've gained over their career. Real Estate rented a room in Nashville for this project to create a focused working environment. A few days into recording, while discussing the album title, someone suggested "Daniel." Could it be derived from Daniel Tashian? Perhaps. And is this album a testament to the band's long history of being able to seriously dedicate themselves to their music without overthinking themselves or their perceptions? Absolutely. The domestic CD release includes a booklet with lyrics translations and features a bonus track: a cover of Television's "Days."
