Product Description
With over 25 years in the industry, they're still the craziest!!! chk chk chk releases their 9th studio album, 'Let it Be Blue'!!! The craziest disco-punk band in history, chk chk chk (!!!), is back!!! Known for their hit anthems such as "Me And Giuliani Down By The School Yard (A True Story)," which gave the middle finger to the New York mayor who restricted dance culture, and "Must Be The Moon" and "One Girl/One Boy," which have thrilled music festivals around the world including Fuji Rock and Sonicmania, as well as their unparalleled powerful live performances, they have released their long-awaited 9th studio album, 'Let it Be Blue', on [WARP]. Produced by longtime collaborator Patrick Ford, this album has been in development for two years, dreaming of the dance floor of the future. The resulting tracks represent the band's most dedicated work to production ever. Filled with sub-bass and drum beats, this album expresses chk chk chk's unique groove, a hodgepodge of dance and party music, but it's more spacious than their previous works. This was an exciting challenge for the band. As Nick Offer says, "We started as a band of seven or eight people, and until now we've all tried to cram everything in, trying to fit in as many parts as possible," the sheer number of sounds and a certain complexity were part of the charm of their early works, but this album has a more refined production. However, despite the minimalist approach, their signature chaotic energy is not lost at all; on the contrary, it's even more intense. It's like Pandora's Box, with various elements scattered throughout, such as reggaeton, acid house, A$AP Ferg, Kompakt Records works, suicide, acoustic...and so on. This album also possesses both a blue, melancholic side and a sense of hope at the same time, which is reflected in the album title. "Let It Blue" doesn't mean the enlightenment of "Let It Be," but rather the acceptance of all the things that await. Melancholy and tragedy are temporary, and things will pass. But above all, this album, "Let it Be Blue," is a work that will make you want to dance more than ever before. The album will be released in Japan first. The domestic CD version will include the bonus track "Fuck It, I'm Done," and will come with lyrics translations and liner notes. TRACK LIST : 01. Normal People 02. A Little Bit (More) 03.
