Content Introduction The ultimate sound design drawn by a prodigy. The latest work from the genius Dorian Concept, also known as a live member of The Cinematic Orchestra and Flying Lotus, is finally released!! Five years after his shocking debut described as "Aphex Twin meets J Dilla," the latest work from the genius multi-instrumentalist/producer Dorian Concept, who has gained overwhelming acclaim as a live member of The Cinematic Orchestra and Flying Lotus, is finally released!! The beautiful opener "The Sky Opposite" (M-1) is reminiscent of Reich's minimalist classic "Electric Counterpoint," "Ann River, Mn" (M-2) features his own languid, floating vocals and beautifully intricately intertwined chord work like looking into a kaleidoscope, and the teaser "Draft" is superb with its contrast between the melancholic mood of analog synths and the mad electronics that will mess with your inner ear. From "Culture" (M-5) to "Trophies" (M-10), where the mellow chord work of the electric piano and the cut-up beat uplift sentimental feelings are soothing, the ultimate sound design, which comes together with the sensual playability underpinned by a jazz background and the meticulously calculated layering of electronics, is breathtakingly beautiful!! Tried (Now Tired) About the Artist Dorian Concept This is a music project by Vienna-born, self-taught multi-instrumentalist/producer Oliver Thomas Johnson. He gained significant attention from various quarters with his improvisational microKORG performance videos posted on YouTube. While his first album, "When Planets Explode," received critical acclaim in the underground scene, he began to tour the world as a live performer, joining Flying Lotus and The Cinematic Orchestra as live members, and signing with Ninja Tune after contributing a track to a compilation celebrating the label's 20th anniversary. After releasing one EP, he completed his second album, "Joined End," which encapsulates his journey from a home recording producer to a performer on the stage of the Royal Albert Hall, all within just five years.
