Two giants of UK music history, whose names are indispensable in discussions of eclecticism and diversity, have finally met to release an original album featuring 10 original tracks plus 6 dub versions! Featuring global musicians and vocalists such as Lee "Scratch" Perry, Junior Reid, Roots Manuva, Chejdek, Cecil, Switch's new producer collective With You (who also played a role in Major Lazer), and Todra T, this album was recorded in London, Ramsgate, Jamaica, and Los Angeles. With Coldcut celebrating their 30th anniversary this year and ON-U Sound celebrating their 35th anniversary last year, and amidst the turbulent political climate of 2017, this collaboration seems like the perfect time to carve a new chapter in music history. The Japanese edition of this album, which will be released simultaneously worldwide, will include the bonus track "Beat Your Chest feat. Roots Manuva," a sleeve case exclusive to the domestic release, and a special booklet featuring a special interview with Coldcut's John More, Matt Black, and Adrian Sherwood, where they discuss how they met and their respective musical backgrounds, including punk, post-punk, reggae, and hip-hop.
