The true legend of German speed metal, IRON ANGEL, makes a miraculous comeback! Dirk Schroeder is still going strong. Led by IRON MAIDEN, SAXON, DEF LEPPARD, and JUDAS PRIEST, the NWOBHM storm that swept through Britain became a major movement that spread throughout the world. At that time in Germany, SCORPIONS and ACCEPT were beginning to make their mark, but there were still not many metal bands. However, in the underground, many bands were popping up like mushrooms after the rain, aiming to break through (including RUNNING WILD, RAGE, and HELLOWEEN). In that era, young German metalheads influenced by the storm formed a band aiming for a metal sound that mixed KISS, MOTORHEAD, and JUDAS PRIEST. That band evolved into IRON ANGEL. They formed in Hamburg, Germany in 1980 and debuted in 1984. They then released their signature albums, "Hellish Crossfire" (1985) and "Winds of War" (1986). Their aggressive stage presence established them as an incredible live band. However, the band decided to disband and sadly disappeared from the scene. Fifteen years after their breakup, the band reunited. Their German tour with King Diamond became a hot topic, and their vibrant live performances stunned fans. They then moved on to recording a new album. However, an accident occurred when member Peter died in a car accident, and the release of this album was canceled. They later released a live album, but as the years passed, the band became a cult classic. In 2016, they performed at the Metal Magic festival. This year, they also performed at Headbanger's Open Air and successfully completed a South American tour. And now, their full-length comeback album, "Hellbound," has been completed in grand style. This is their first release in 32 years! The majestic metal style, centered around Dirk Schroeder, is truly moving. A must-have album for former Accept fans and German speed metal enthusiasts!
