Initially a four-piece band called Drunken Dog, they changed their name to the trio The Flow and moved to Manhattan. They performed live around New York, competing with bands like Wicked Lester, the predecessor to Kiss. ??The only album they released was \"The Flow's Greatest Hits.\" From Pete's left-handed guitar, which follows in the footsteps of Jimi Hendrix and Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), comes a heavy sound inspired by the acid movement. From the intro of \"Swallowing the Sun\" (M1), which points to an ominous fate reminiscent of Sabbath's \"Black Sabbath,\" to the Bach-inspired \"Toccata in D minor\" (M5), to \"Bijinks\" (M6), which is 20 years ahead of its time and concludes with freaky cheers, to the instrumental \"Mouthly\" (M7), a product of a psychedelic experience, to \"Sunday Night's Musings\" (M11), which depicts the futuristic worldview of the time, and to \"I Saw a Dog\" (M12), in which the guitar imitates a dog's bark, a series of freakout tunes reflecting the chaos of New York's psychedelic culture. On the other hand, their musicianship is also outstanding, as evidenced by the catchy hard rock track \"Get Up \u0026amp; Smile\" (M10), the lyrical acoustic guitar-featured \"Third Movement\" (M9), and the brilliant lead guitar work in the authentic blues-rock style of \"Creeping Madness\" (M13). One day, Pete had an epiphany over classical music after listening to Bruckner's Symphony No. 8, and he left New York to move to Tucson, Arizona. The LPs he had at his home were destroyed during the move, and The Flow became a \"phantom\" band. However, \"The Flow's Greatest Hits\" was reissued in 2003 by the German rare psychedelic reissue label \"Shadocks Music,\" causing a sensation among dilettantes worldwide.
